What a thrusting machine should actually do

Hold the pace under load. A big stroke-count on a weak motor eases off the moment it meets resistance. The pace that matters is the one it holds when you lean in — which is why we publish torque, not just top speed.

Be quiet, and prove it. “Discreet” is a dodge. Ask for a decibel reading, measured at the distance your ear actually is. Under 50 dB is a quiet room — and noise climbs with speed, so ask at full power too.

Stay where you put it. Smooth surface, it should suction-lock to the floor. Rough surface, its own weight should hold it. Drive into it and it should push through — not lurch back across the room.
