We started out selling sex machines on Temu — and from day one we tried to make a better one than our neighbors. We used virgin ABS instead of the recycled junk most sellers ship. Real PU leather wrapped around the base. Quieter motors that didn't burn out in two months. We thought quality would find its customer.
It didn't, not on that platform. Temu rewards one thing: who can ship cheaper. We watched listings underneath us strip every corner we refused to cut, and outsell us anyway. We were paying for better components and losing to sellers who weren't.
The race wasn't to the bottom. It was at the bottom — and we kept losing because we wouldn't go any lower.
